Pros: Not very loud
heat doesn't seem to be an issue
the price was right
Cons: only 2 year warranty
died 3 months after warranty expired
Other Thoughts: As I've been rebuilding some computers for family, I've been going through my pile of old hard drives, and checking my spreadsheets. When I get a drive, I write the purchase date and seller on the front of the drive, and in a spreadsheet.. I noticed that ALL of my Seagates have died just after the warranty period, within 1-3 months. I've had a few WD drives die, but all within the first 1-4 months of use, so a replacement was issued. The replacement drives are still good, even though the warranty is long past. I also noticed that ALL of my Hitachi drives are still going strong. Not one has failed me during the warranty period, or within 2 years after. I guess I've found my new brand.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Mechanical switches. I would've liked the cherry black ones that click too, but the brown are okay.
Backlight is nice at night.
I love the wrist rest. It's hard to find a good keyboard with an attached wrist rest. This is why I chose this keyboard over others with mechanical switches.
Cons: No backlight on "shift" functions. For example 1 is nice and red, but ! isn't. You can't even see ! in the dark at all.
I'm not loving the macro keys. I tend to shift my left hand over too far when I start typing because I'm used to the regular keys being right at the edge. This is also magnified because the caps lock key doesn't have a little indention. It also makes it harder to use your palm to hold while your fingers are on the numbers or top row for gaming.
About once a day the lights on the keyboard just shut off and the keyboard stops responding. I have to pull and replace the mini usb connector from the back of the keyboard to get it working. Then it takes about 30 seconds to start responding again.
Other Thoughts: It took a bit of searching, but you can make the left "storm key" work as a winkey. The right storm key cannot be remapped.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: -- Low price for the features.
-- Night mode works great.
-- Can use EXTERNAL speakers for 2-way communication.
Cons: -- No external mic jack.
-- No internal speakers.
-- It sometimes gets stuck in night mode, making the colors all weird pastels. The dark brown crib looks light lavender.
-- No autofocus. Must manually turn ring around lens.
Other Thoughts: I somehow missed that the little slots near the back of the camera weren't for the built-in speakers (as none exist). I would have loved even tiny speakers so that I could really just plug this thing in anywhere around my network and have it ready to roll.
Also, when it gets stuck in night mode, if I point it at the light on the ceiling, it resets. Oddly enough, the bright from the uncovered window isn't enough.
