iView SupraPad i700QW Intel Atom 1 GB DDR3 Memory 16 GB eMMC 7.0
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

5 out of 5 eggs Great Product for the price, I bought three! 02/23/2016

This review is from: iView SupraPad i700QW Intel Atom 1 GB DDR3 Memory 16 GB eMMC 7.0" Touchscreen Tablet Windows 10 Home

Pros: - small yet still functional
- windows 10 can be installed, you just need to know how
- if your expectations are appropriately low, the atom baytrail quad cpu is surprisingly powerful
- one gig of ram is fine for light tasks like surfing or word processing
- comes in a sturdy box, with an OTG cable, and even earbuds
-if you have a problem you can reinstall the Windows 8.1 firmware off the iView site (5 gig download)

Cons: - as mentioned by other reviewers the screen has a limited viewing angle
- Windows 10 needs to be installed with care, see another newegg review to see how
-one of the tablets developed a touch screen problem after the Windows 10 upgrade. But it wasn't really a con, I just downloaded the firmware, reinstalled Windows 8.1 and the second go through was a winner

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these to use in my classroom. I am thrilled to say that all three are 100% working fine and are used daily for up to 5 hours a day by grade 2's. I run Google translate and even Google Earth on them. Kids do word processing. I even have dollar store mice plugged into the OTG cable that comes with the tablet. Older games run fine. What is not to like?

Transcend 8GB 2.5

3 out of 5 eggs Works well but... 07/22/2010

This review is from: Transcend 8GB 2.5" PATA SLC Industrial Solid State Disk TS8GSSD25-S

Pros: SLC
Reputable manufacturer
High quality
Web support--not that I needed any
Makes XP fly and do tricks, no configuration required

Cons: Small
Expensive for only 8 gigs
Newegg Shipping

Other Thoughts: I could have bought another brand and wait for it to come from China but I thought--pay a little more and Newegg will deliver in days. Err try weeks! Ground shipping from Los Angeles? Are you kidding? It took 5 whole days to get to Seattle. Then the border. Then Vancouver to Toronto on some truck took another 5 days. Then local delivery with stops in between for donuts. I will be receiving another SSD from a supplier here in the Canadian wilderness and its out for delivery here after only two days. Paid way less too! C'mon Newegg, you make China look good!

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

5 out of 5 eggs An oldie but a goodie 08/06/2009

This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: All copper, looks awesome, cools like nobody's business. Temps in celsius went down 12 degrees over stock cooler from 60 under 100% load to 48 and now my phenom 940 idles in the mid 30's.

Cons: Took the mobo out to install when really am2+ installs of this thing are not nearly as hard as Intel. I wish I had known that. Never did cut myself, but my son did. Sharp fins, though young son was a little too quick to do things. I have heard that Asus am2+ motherboards make you want to install the thing so that it blows straight up in your case. I have an Antic 300 case so this was not a problem because there is a case fan on top as well as at the rear and the power supply is at the bottom of the case. The instructions for how you get it to blow to the back of your case when the am2+ socket is seated vertically are silly. (so glad I didn't do what they suggested) So it blows straight up instead of to the rear--hot air rises right? But maybe you might not like this if there is no fan at the top of your case and an Asus am2+ install is what you are doing.

Other Thoughts: The price is a little high but if you like the look of it and you always wanted a Zalman this will not disappoint.
