Pros: Great quality chassis! Comes with power supply.
Cons: Too small! I met the standard for maximum HSF clearance by an inch and it was right up against the top of the case and left no room for the HDD. Had to return and get a larger case.
Other Thoughts: You would think they would have factored in the maximum clearance with a HDD installed... Gave it three eggs because the case was nice but dropped two because they need to clearly document the maximum HSF height with an HDD installed!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MSI AM1I AM1 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Built in BIOS speaker, Extremely inexpensive (15 dollars with a combo deal), HDMI output
Cons: Arrived DOA, would not POST (No beeps, no display, nada.) Rude support (See below.)
Other Thoughts: Received this board about 2 days ago for a fairly basic build. Threw it together with an Athlon 5350, A single ADATA XPG DDR3 1600 MHz memory stick, 600 watt PSU (That I used on another build and had lying around) and a 250GB Toshiba HDD. Crossed my fingers and powered it up, nothing. So I removed it from its case, removed the HDD and performed a breadboard build. Swapped the PSU and memory with another brand I picked up from the store and still no response. I could only get a response by removing its RAM module and then it beeps 3 times indicating 64k base memory error (because RAM is missing.) This leaves only the mainboard or APU. Wanting to see if I could get any insight as to why it wouldn't boot before RMA'ing it, I gave MSI a call. Hit all the extensions for motherboard support, 5 minute wait and I got connected to someone. They answered like they were in a rush and all I could get out was "I have an MSI AM1 board..." and from there the MSI rep cut me off and said that I called the desktop and notebook support line and their motherboard support guys weren't going to be in for another half-hour then disconnected me. I've never talked to a support staff that was so rude. So I've decided to return the board and go for another manufacturer (even if its a bit more) and stay away from MSI products in the future.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Slim Laser Lens KES-450A KEM-450AAA with Deck for Play Station PS3
Pros: Worked, fixed the issue! Installation was easy!
Cons: Looked a bit used, but the part listed here says it's refurbished or used, so I'm not mad at all. Stuff like this is usually better than new considering its been pulled from a working unit.
Other Thoughts: Was given a PS3 for free from a friend who said it wouldn't read blu-ray games or movies and told me if I could fix it, I could have it. Took it home, noticed it would read DVD's but not blu-rays. Figured it was the blue laser in the unit so I went searching online and found this matched the part within my CECH-2101A 120GB PS3 Slim. Got it fast within 3 days (Ordered on 23rd of December, Got it on the 26th of December) and installation took less than an hour. Got a PS3 at the cost of a new laser, not bad!READ FULL REVIEW
