ASUS HD6450-SL-2GD3-L Radeon HD 6450 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Excellent small video card.

Does everything it should do.
Easily plays 720p-1080p on full HD resolution.
Eyefinity without a hiccup.
Cheap, reliable, AMD, enough said.

Cons: No low Profile bracket included.

Doesn't come with latest drivers (had to get them online), no biggie

The heatsink isn't the best of the best, could use a tiny fan to help with heat dissipation.

Other Thoughts: I put this baby in a Dell optiplex 755 and it tends to run a bit hot due to the fact that the whole system is ventilated by a single fan. (only intake, no exhaust)
I would strongly suggest the manufacturer to figure out a way to put a small fan or at least apply a good amount of thermal paste.

Now to find a way to cool this thing.

ADATA 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model AD3S1600W4G11-2
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Worked right out of the box.
Initially bought for a Qosmio x-300 system, didn't boot but tested in a newer Lenovo Laptop, worked right away, haven't taken it out since

Cons: there was some misbehaving from the lenovo the first few reboots, then it settled.
can't really pinpoint the problem but since it's gone, i won't scratch needlessly

Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.33GHz LGA 775 65W Processor BX80570E8600
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Great CPU. Wish I bought it back when it was 70-90 dollars (Maybe I'm mistaking with another LGA775 CPU...)

Overclocker and non overclocker delight. 3ghz for amazing performance.
Very cool with stock heatsink and a dear when it comes to games.

Cons: dat fat price
