Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and All-Black Interior
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs The most beast looking case with great cooling & air flow. 07/29/2014

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and All-Black Interior

Pros: I got this case off a well known auction site for cheaper, was just a brand new open box item. This is a very nice case. Has lots of room to do most anything you want on the inside. It also has great cable management capabilities. Only the Advanced version has the all black interior, which this one is and it looks real awesome. Help keeps my parts a lot cooler than my old case even when the door was off.

Cons: My only 2 gripes with this case is, 1) that the front grill is made of plastic and not steel like the rest of it. My old case had a steel front which made it easy to find a place to grab to pick up. With this one you have to reach completely under the case to pick it up if you are going to move it. And, 2) the front blue power LED is so bright it’s almost unbearable. In a pitch black room it lights it up so much you could read a book. To even look at it head on feels like you’re staring at a blue laser pointer at times.

Other Thoughts: I sometimes sleep with my PC on, so I originally thought the red LED fan was going to be too bright but it’s actually not. It’s so close to the end of the red spectrum it’s almost unnoticeable even with how big it is in that it doesn’t shine everywhere at night. The small blue power LED is 10 times worse as mentioned above. Also, it’s a really big case, so just simply ‘moving’ it is not so simple if you’re in a rush or have lots of heavy parts inside. Also the back opening behind where the motherboard sits that I assume is for being able to aid in installing aftermarket heatsinks does not line up properly with the motherboard I have, so I do not know what to say about that.

PNY VCGGTX7602XPB-OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: I got this exact card off a well known auction site for near half the price, only used 2 weeks. Very powerful card. It runs quite, a lot quieter than my way older 9800 GTX+. Cool designs on this one but too bad you can’t see them due to how all video cards sit in their place. Has support for using 4 monitors at once. I’m currently using a tri monitor setup with just this card and I’m having no issues at all. Would be using a 4th monitor but just don’t have a Display Port capable monitor. I haven’t been playing many games due to being a full time management figure at work and a full time father, but Far Cry 3 plays on DX11 Ultra settings at 1080p res with no stutter/lag. I assume I’m getting around 45-60fps only because I can tell the difference if I wasn’t, but frame rate does drop a little If I use over 4x AA in that game.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I do a lot of 3D rendering on the side, probably more than gaming these days, but I wasn’t too impressed with the OpenGL performance compared to my older card as mentioned above. It is better, but it may just have to do with the program I’m using since I’m only talking about an OpenGL viewport for 3D modeling and NOT for gaming performance reasons. For the price it still beats having to fork out a lot more for a Quadro for the performance I’m seeing.

XFX TS Series 750W Quiet ATX SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply (P1-750S-NLB9) 5 Years Warranty Haswell Certified
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: I got this off a well known auction site for a cheaper price but still brand new. Lots of cables. Never be without what you need to get a device powered.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you do not have a large case with some kind of cable management in place then you might have a hard time trying to figure out where to put all of the extra cables.
