5 out of 5 eggs Great fan for 780i NB mod 05/11/2014

This review is from: APEVIA CF6015S 60mm Case Fan

Pros: Fits 780i NB heatsink without interference.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Works great for those wanting to get rid of the noisy fan on the NB of an old 780i board.

CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Good, clean power for my FreeNAS box.
Cool and Quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this PSU for my FreeNAS box. I did not need a PSU with this much power, but I caught it on sale for the same price as a 430 watt unit from another manufacturer.

I have had a HX1000 in my gaming rig for over five years now with no problems of any kind. I am hoping that this unit will prove to be just as good as all of the other Corsair products that I purchased over the years.

EVGA GeForce 210 DirectX 10.1 01G-P3-1313-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Very low power consumption.
Small form factor

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card to use in an old 780i board that I re-purposed into a FreeNAS box. The 780i has no on board video, therefore I needed something to get the system to boot. After a bit of research, I decided on this card. I like that fact that it is a passively cooled card, more fans equals more power consumption.
