This review is from: P3 Kill A Watt Electricity Load Meter and Monitor
Pros: nice looking
Cons: unstable current, watt and VA readings
Other Thoughts: Second one I ordered is providing unstable and unreliable readings for current and all derived values. The first one I have owned for 3 years is going strong. Quality is suffering on this product, now I have to RMA it own my own dime.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG 470 Series MZ-5PA256/US 2.5" 256GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: I installed this on a high end dual quad core Xeon workstation as the booting drive with all apps on it but no data. By far the best bang for buck from an every day use performance improvement. All normal task are 30 -50% faster. I first long formated this drive on my PC. Then created an image of my 250GB C: drive and a W7 repair disk. Booted using the repair disk and asked W7 to restore the image to the Samsung SSD and it worked. The resulting partions were not aligned and benchmarks shows about 90% of rated performance. Used Paragon Software's Partition Alignment Tool and got the partions aligned resulting in 5-10% better read write bandwidth.
Cons: Bare drive, you will need bracket to fit into 3.5 inch bay, SATA cable, and software. The included Magician software did not work. It does not even detect that there is a Samsung drive in the machine even after installation is complete and W7 is well up and running using it.
Other Thoughts: Buy it for the sheer performance in uncompressed sequential read write. I think it will be better than the Intel 510 256GB. Software did not come with the drive, had to dowload it and install. It did not work so I could not update drive firmware.READ FULL REVIEW
