Pros: Price, decent bios, looks good
Cons: EMI noise
Other Thoughts: This is a good board, however it has some EMI (electromagnetic interference) issues in my case. The board kept making a 14khz noise and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from for awhile, but it seems to be when the hard drive is accessed. Its not very loud, I can put up with it and it does not harm anything, but for those with sensitive ears it could be extremely annoying. It's not any of the other components I have tested and its the board itself. This could be isolated to my board and not be the case for others, but thought I would mention it. It works great though, I have no complaints with the performance of it and I really like how it looks and the fact it has a Killer NIC and plastic covers and good heatsinks.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel Core i3-6100 3M 3.7 GHz LGA 1151 BX80662I36100 Desktop Processor
Pros: Price/performance ratio, 14nm, low power.
Cons: Only dual core (with hyperthreading), overclocking is only possible with certain boards.
Other Thoughts: For what it is this thing is awesome, its a nice gaming CPU for the budget folks, the price for performance ratio is very good. It will of course lag behind in certain aspects that thrive on large core count (video encoding, etc) but for most tasks its great. I have an AMD Fx-8320 and this I3 is quicker in single core use, and really in multithread apps its not that far behind anyway which is saying something. If you are trying to hop on the Skylake bandwagon for the cheap, this is the way to go.READ FULL REVIEW
