TRENDnet TV-IP672W Megapixel Wireless N Pan, Tilt, Zoom Network Surveillance Camera with 2-Way Audio
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Excellent resolution. Fairly easy to setup. Works better using Blue Iris software. Trendnet software is very basic and will not read program other manufacturer cameras..

Cons: Trendnet does not offer a speaker for there cameras nor do they offer any suggestions on a speaker setup or supplier for the speaker. Tech support is in India. Motor for panning is very very loud.

Other Thoughts: For the price this is a solid little camera.

Edimax IC-7110W Cloud Wireless-N IP Camera, 1.3 Mpx Lens, 1280x1024 Resolution, Pan & Tilt, Night Vision, H.264, SD card Slot, Plug-n-View, Free EdiView APP for Smartphone

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Solid WiFi connection. Easy to setup. Better as a limited inside cam.

Cons: Don't even think of using the software it's stone-age. I use this cam with Blue Iris and it works fairly well. However, I can not get the sound to work with Blue-Iris. Others are right the colors are week and pink and the IR light strength is very, very limited..

Other Thoughts: I can't stress enough how poor the software is. And of course it is proprietary to only Edimax it will not see any other cameras in my network. Use IP-Cam or better use Blue Iris which will see almost any manufacturer camera even the desk on your computer.
