Pros: extremely long wifi range
8 lan ports for when I want to have lan parties
lots of features
extra layer of security from cyber attacks and viruses
Cons: price, though worth every penny
Other Thoughts: I walked to the back of my yard, and also I walked across the street to my neighbors front yard. nothing I did would drop the wifi connection.
update: it seems the AiRadar beamforming works nicely. i've sustained a low signal even 3 houses down the street, while parked in my car. this router is amazing. i havent had to reset it once in the month that i've had it, as well. it's blocked a few untrustworthy websites that i accidentally clicked for me with its trendnet protection.
Pros: paul z. from the other review here. just loaded up wtfast, and while it has some annoying ads in the free version, it reduced my ping in world of warcraft from 99-100ms down to 79-81ms. its noticably faster responding.
Cons: price still. that's it. you get your money's worth.
Other Thoughts: buy itREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: -this router reached outside my house, through two walls, and to the very back of my yard. connection wasn't the best out there but i was still able to stream youtube in high def to my phone, speedtest said 5-6mbps internet connection still. pretty awesome.
-aicloud works amazing
-8 wired connections. won't find that in many other routers. now i can host my own small LAN party without having to worry about the network traffic or having enough ports!
-offers a download managers that automatically encrypts traffic for the downloads.
-app works well, and aicloud app works well.
-not sure how to test beamforming, but i think it works well because of the fact that i never lose reception.
-enabled trendnet micro's protection. wish i knew how to test this as well, but it's nice to have an extra bit of protection.
-SLEEK this thing is a beautiful piece of equipment.
Cons: pricey. & this device is kind of bulky. BUT sleek, so it's ok. also you can't delete network folders attached to the USB port. i dont think this is a router issue, but it could be. when i go into the interface to delete a folder on my 2tb drive it just says it was unable to delete the folder. simple fix was to attach it to my pc and manually delete the folders i wanted to that way.
Other Thoughts: well worth the cash. if you have a lot of wired and also wireless devices this thing will outdo most normal routers even with a wireless extender somewhere.
i will write an update of my further findings if i need to.
