Cons: none
Overall Review: Was not bought for gaming, just basic PC use: internet surfing, streaming movies and other basics. New life to an older PC, with this GPU and a SSD upgrade EVGA has a great warranty and support. Helpful forum members on EVGA site are willing to assist others.
unreliable AV Receiver YAMAHA AVENTAGE RX-A820 speaker outputs failed after warranty period
Pros: When it worked it had some nice features, but barely made it through the three year warranty
Cons: This RX-A820 receiver was always behind an APC brand UPS to protect it from surges or any electric "quality" issue. By the time the 3 year warranty was up it has started having issues with the speakers not powering for the first several minutes and it has only gotten worse - taking more time - now about 10 minutes before sound will "work" Repairing is cost prohibitive - why would a receiver board be so expensive ?
Overall Review: At this price range I expected more of a Receiver that was always protected from power quality issues by a name brand UPS I've had Other Brands of receivers last over 10 years. In fact the previous Sony is still working fine; I just wanted to move to HDMI inputs/ outputs If Yamaha had some kind of customer retention / return customer discount, I might have been tempted to give Yamaha a second chance
Amazing Performance: Fast, stable and Keeps the GPU, Memory and Power sections cold for Max OC
Pros: Simply amazing performance because this card can keep the GPU, Memory and Power COLD allowing Nvidia GPU Boost 3.0 to Clock the card very high. Cheaper than a custom loop with similar performance EVGA Support and Warranty backs up your purchase
Cons: None
Overall Review: Great card - you will not be disappointing. It is a large card and you need to be aware of how much space your PC case has. With the power disconnected to your PC set the BIOS switch to the "slave" setting - this is the Best Performance Proper mounting of the radiator will provide the best and quietest experience This card gets the heat out of your case. EVGA Precision XOC software is free and required to Over Clock the card even higher or control the LEDs. Its not hard software to use, I was able to figure it out on my own. The first time you load XOC you will need to shutdown your PC, pull the power cord to all connected devices (monitor, usb hub ...) then hold the start button on PC down for 30 seconds to ensure the PSU capacitors have discharged, plug ever thing back in and start your PC EVGA has a Forums area where you can get help if you need any - great group of volunteers willing to help out. If 3 years warranty is not long enough, EVGA offers extended warranties - best to register your card soon as you get it.
