This review is from: SYBA SD-CM-UAUD71 USB Sound Adapter
Pros: works, reliable, and still going strong after 1.3 years on a windows 7 machine.
Cons: as others have noted it's a bit wide, and would likely cover other usb ports. I used a usb extension cord to move it out of the way
Other Thoughts: I am not an audiophile. I cannot comment on quality. For myself, it worked perfectly. I bought it to provide sound to my asus motherboard when the onboard died. This has never once given me problems in the 1 year, 4 months since I bought it. I just bought a new motherboard, so this will be retiring until needed again.
I recommend you buy a USB extension cord as well; too many people are breaking their device by leaving it attached to their computer tower and then accidentally bumping into it.
Pros: This is a positive review. I really don't spend much time looking at power supplies. But this one has functioned for 5 1/2 years so far without a hitch. Very little heat output as well, which is my biggest concern when choosing a power supply
Cons: Not modular
Other Thoughts: I don't game very much. So I doubt I've really stressed this power supply very often. I do have a higher end graphics card, but it's highly under-used.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: secondary heatsinked chipset on motherboard (copper heatsink... integrated gpu?) gets warm, so I glued a small 40mm fan onto it.
Other Thoughts: I bought the motherboard in late November for a complete system build. I have a very efficient power supply, a low watt cpu, and excellent case air flow. I'm going to blame all these factors on the current longevity (4 years, 4 months) of this motherboard.READ FULL REVIEW
