This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Silent ATX Midtower Computer Case
Pros: All around great case. Nice looking, well constructed, foam noise reduction stuff everywhere and no defects that I could find and I looked real hard.
Cons: The big issue I had with the case was trying to use a 2X140 radiator and custom cooling system. The only way to make it work on the top of this case was to gut the inside - remove the ODD cage and the metal bracket above the cage. I gave up since I wanted a Blu-ray burner and installed a H100i GTX and that worked with room to spare. The only other minor complaint I had was with the vertical alignment of the SSD "trays" on the back side of the case. Horizontal alignment would have made the power and SATA cables easier to connect and route.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this case, just stay with a 2X120 AOI cooler if needed. I will probably buy another R5 and use it for an all air system so that I can keep all the sound reduction covers installed. I believe this case is about as good as it gets for a quiet computer.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TDK 8.5GB 8X DVD+R DL 50 Packs Spindle Disc Model 61611
Pros: Price and rated burning speed.
Cons: Of the first 25 discs I have used 8 would not burn on a Pioneer 207 and/or 209 Blu-Ray Burners. I also had them fail on Sony DVD Burners. At least 4 of the discs that that did burn "OK" would not play on an OPPO Blu-Ray player or an OPPO DVD player or a Sony Blu-Ray player. I don't know how many more will turn up bad but they are highly suspect.
Other Thoughts: I use TDK 50 GB and 25 GB 2x Blu-Ray rewritable disks all the time and never had a problem. I thought I would try the DVD DL disks one more time based on price - big mistake. I'm back using Verbatim DVD DL 8x discs and all is well. You get what you pay for unfortunately.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quiet, Fast and Reliable. Bought 2 on "sale". Used for storage applications where I want fast processing of huge files.
Other Thoughts: I have several of every Raptor model that WD has made and they are all still running with no issues. Too bad the price remains relatively high as SSD's are getting cheaper.READ FULL REVIEW
