Pros: Very solid drive. I have had it now since Oct 2010 and it has been running great for 6 months now. I am coming back to purchase a second one and thought I would add a review while I was at it. I read other reviews of it being loud but I am not experiencing any such problems. Matter of fact it is very quiet but I guess I know what LOUD drives can sound like. I have had several WD drives in the mid 90's that were so loud it was unbearable to be in the same room but they still work to this day if I were to plug them in (which I do on occasion to see what is on them).

Overall Review: I suggest to spend the extra few dollars and buy a drive with a 5 year warranty. I am on my 4th drive from $eagate with two more years to go on the warranty and I am thankful I had the 5 year warranty, but not so much about being on my 4th drive from them. It seems there is a reliability issue on drives that are 1+ TB in size from any of the manufactures who sell drives. We are all in the same boat...what manufacturer to buy from, there doesnt seem to be any 1TB + drives with a 5 star rating with more than 20 reviews. Until reliability improves, get the 5 yr warranty and backup frequently, all drives will fail eventually.

Pros: Didn't have any issues with the screws, all the screws fit perfectly and the drive went in easily.

Cons: Powers down to soon and no way of getting it to power back up.

Overall Review: Wish I had read the more recent reviews before buying this. I have purchased several of these in the past and they still work great but like other reviewers mentioned recently, they must of made changes to this model because I too am experiencing the shutdown problem but mine takes less than a minute when it cycles down, no power light, no spinning of the drive, nothing and the only way I can wake it up is re-powering the enclosure or unplugging it and plugging it back in...what a pain. Now I have to send it back and find another brand until Rosewill figures out the problem. I don't understand why it is taking so long to fix the problem but the reviews started going south around a year ago so I am not going to hold my breath.
