Cheap but Good

PNY Attaché 2GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model P-FD02GU20-RF
PNY Attaché 2GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model P-FD02GU20-RF

Pros: Medium size for this type of device, see through case with LED activity light, lanyard.

Cons: Cheap feeling, gray plastic casing (not the cap, the other side) slides off really easily.

Overall Review: There's not much to describe about this drive. It's a flash drive just like any other flash drive. It's pretty cheap for 2GB, so I would recommend it to others. The gray casing slides over the back of the drive, and then there is also a gray cap that covers the USB connector. They both slide off of the main body of the drive too easily. The plastic looks cheap, but since it's not a beauty contest, it doesn't really matter. This drive works just fine and I recommend it to anyone.

Be careful with this drive

SUPER TALENT Pico_C 8GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model STU8GPCS
SUPER TALENT Pico_C 8GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model STU8GPCS

Pros: EXTREMELY small! I keep one in my wallet and don't even notice it's there until I need to whip out my 8GB. Because of its small size and metal body, it's very durable. It seems pretty impossible to break it without using some sort of tools. Can't bend it or squish it during normal use.

Cons: Unreliable. My first one died after 6 months of use. I wouldn't store any important data on this that wasn't backed up somewhere else. You never know when it's going to fail. It's also a really tight fit in every USB slot I've put it in. If you don't put the little beaded chain on it, sometimes it takes a lot of maneuvering to get it out of the USB slot, especially in tight quarters like the back of a tower with lots of other devices and cables.

Overall Review: For my needs, this is a near perfect drive. It resides in my wallet and holds installer files for software that I might need while at a friend/client's house, sometimes large video files that I watch somewhere other than at home, and occasionally some larger Photoshop files. I give it one egg because it has failed me before, and I wouldn't recommend it for someone who needs to store important data on it as a backup. For me, however, I don't keep any sensitive or important data on it and it's the smallest drive I found that is durable enough to go everywhere with me without breaking. To be honest, I keep one in my wallet, and a brand new one at home because I know that it will fail eventually and I don't want to wait for a new one to get shipped. That's how little faith I have in this drive's reliability.

Great Projector for the Price

ACER H5360 720P 1280x720 2500 ANSI Lumens NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready Home Theater DLP Projector
ACER H5360 720P 1280x720 2500 ANSI Lumens NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready Home Theater DLP Projector

Pros: I was very satisfied with how bright it was compared to my two previous projectors. It's also a lot quieter and runs a lot cooler. The image is very clear.

Cons: The remote control is cleverly made to slide into the projector and be the on-unit controls, however, if you ever loose the remote, I don't know how you would ever use the projector as it doesn't have any other buttons on the unit. A slight design flaw, IMHO.

Overall Review: I don't have any 3D stuff to test that functionality. All-in-all, it's a really great projector that I'm very happy with and considering buying another one.

Not Good for USB Drive

LACIE 301515KUA 1TB Network Space 2 Easy Home Network Storage
LACIE 301515KUA 1TB Network Space 2 Easy Home Network Storage

Pros: Sleek design Easy setup Fast transfer speeds

Cons: Confusing limitations Buggy web interface for NAS Difficult to access files outside network

Overall Review: It's not advertised with these limitations, but after talking with LaCie tech support, here is what they finally told me are the limitations when connecting via USB or ethernet: "We do not advertise that the unit is the same as USB connected unit however. Its primary function is NAS and you will not be able to alter that. The hardware and chipset included are only capable of a NAS with an ability to allocate space to USB." They also don't tell you that you can only allocate up to HALF of the storage space for USB access, while the rest of the 1 TB must remain accessible through ethernet only. Time Machine does work with the NAS as advertised, but I use Carbon Copy Cloaner, and that DOES NOT work via NAS, hence the reason I wanted to use the drive via USB in the first place.

Pros: Inexpensive, reliable.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: RAM was pretty standard, and has not let me down yet.
