Seagate Expansion 12TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0, with Rescue Data Recovery Services (STKP12000400)
Seagate Expansion 12TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0, with Rescue Data Recovery Services (STKP12000400)

Pros: Good size Quiet

Cons: Very short operational life.

Overall Review: I would not recommend this drive, since it broke six months after I started using it as an external backup for my NAS. Two days ago, it developed an audible click and this morning my backup job alerted me to the failure. I tried the usual, restarting the NAS, unplugging the drive and reconnecting, and connecting to a computer. The Drive grinds on start-up and is not accessible. I can see the Seagate USB SCSI controller connected to both the NAS and the computer. I am not able to see any partitions to try and recover anything with any of the tools I have. Diskinternals just hangs when I try and scan the drive. I'm glad it's a backup. It was very quiet when I purchased it and now has that old, kiss-of-death disk click that I remember from the old days.

SAMSUNG CLX-3160FN MFC / All-In-One Up to 17 ppm Color Laser Printer

Pros: Lots of features, good print quality.

Cons: Paper jam issues. High cost of repair. Few service centers. Terrible on-line support. Short manufacturer's warranty.

Overall Review: I spent a good deal of time researching multifunction devices for my home office. This product always ended up at the top of the list. Having always had a good experience with Samsung electronics I purchased this printer and it worked pretty well for a couple of months. Like a bad joke, the day my warranty ran out the printer stopped working, reporting a paper jam that didn't exist. The Samsung support website was no help, and after three days of troubleshooting the problem on-line I gave up and drove the printer to the closest Samsung service center, which happened to be 60 miles away. The quote for the repair out of warranty was, more than I paid for the printer and shipping. I usually skip on-line reviews of products that have one or no stars, as they are usually not coherent. But I've since gone back and read through the reviews for this product on multiple sites and I have to say I should have been aware of the paper jam issues before I spent the money for this prin
