This review is from: Acer XG270HU 27" 1ms 144HZ WQHD HDMI DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync (Free Sync) Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor Edge-to-Edge Frameless Design, 350 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
Pros: Vivid and rich colors
Plenty color scheme presets
144hz and 1ms makes all the difference in the world if you are relying on a split second to stay alive.
The level of detail available at 1440p is a big game changer.
Cons: No VESA mount. I told myself this would not be an issue but It is an issue. (yes I know I can buy an adapter).
Cheap and wobbly stand. No height adjustment is kind of annoying considering how low the monitor sits.
Other Thoughts: Getting 85 - 125 FPS while playing BF1. Most settings Ultra (some high) VSYNC off. ASUS Strix GTX 1070.
Would I buy this monitor again? likely but I have long targeted the Acer XF270HU but have been unable to get it at a decent price.
Finding a 1440p monitor is not a problem but finding one with high refresh rate below 400 dollars is a challenge.
Pros: Stable ram, no issues to report.
I turned on XMP and it pushed it to 2400 with no trouble.
Cons: Does not have RGB option but at this cost who cares.
Other Thoughts: I did overclock the RAM to 2666 with ease. I tried pushing it to 2800 and 3200 but I ran into problems. This does not matter for me because I am mainly using the ram for gaming. 2400 is fine.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 4 pin, PWM fans
very quiet fans
Good option for radiator fan replacement.
Cons: No LED
Not the Cheapest, but on the other hand not the most expensive option for low noise static pressure fans.
Other Thoughts: I replaced the stock fans on the Corsair H100i-V2 cooler with these. The stock fans on the cooler did push more static pressure through the radiator but at a annoying loud cost. I will take a performance hit to run my system with less noise.READ FULL REVIEW
