Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX for PC and Mac, Large Mouse, Long Range Wireless Mouse
Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX for PC and Mac, Large Mouse, Long Range Wireless Mouse

Pros: Okay so I have owned many mice and keyboard sets. I always had problems with range, wheels not working, buttons not feeling right. So I went and said the next one that breaks I am going to spend more than usual to see the difference. Well there IS A Difference. This mouse tracks very well. I like the custom DPI settings. (I use multiple monitors) I have that mapped to the zoom button. What really shocked me is the range, my old mice couldn't be more than 6 feet away. This mouse though, it went 60 feet at the other end of the house through 5 walls. I feel it could go even further if I had the base in a better area.

Cons: Battery life seems short, I got it little over a week ago and am still going on 1 bar of battery. Not sure how much longer it will go though.

Overall Review: Ignore the price, trust me it is worth every single penny. It will be one of the last mice you ever buy.

Most Critical Review

Umm..looks cool?

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GV-R797TO-3GD
GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GV-R797TO-3GD

Pros: Cool telling your friends you finally got a jet engine. It's a really fine space heater. Probably plays games well but I am not using it for that. Comes packaged decently. Looks kinda decent. Build quality looks fine but I don't keep up on it. Last card was a 6850.

Cons: Artifacts Artifacts Artifacts. Can you hear me now? I bet you can't because this thing is so loud. Sitting at 93 degrees with the side panel opened and a 120MM fan pointed at it cranked on high. Useless, as soon as I turn on a miner or do anything GPU intensive the fans ramp up to 2000%. So loud I can literally hear it at the other end of the house. So much for a good cooler because 90+ degrees and 100% fan speed is a failure IMO.

Overall Review: Honestly the card is fine apart from the noise. I am sure if it wasn't at 90+ degrees it would shoot right up and work like everyone else with a 7970 does. Personally I am thinking return it and take my loss and find another brand that can keep the thing cool. I might have got a defect but it's still inexcusable for this at this high price point

I don't get the 5 star ratings...

Polk Audio CS1 Series II Center Channel Speaker (Black) Single
Polk Audio CS1 Series II Center Channel Speaker (Black) Single

Pros: Cheap, I guess it is decent sound if you haven't heard anything better. If you have be prepared to be disappointed. The build quality is decent.

Cons: Okay now let me say that I DO care about my audio. This center fails to reproduce a accurate sound. The overall sound is boomy. I am driving with with a Onkyo TX-SR701 which back a few years ago was a pretty high end receiver. The center reproduces all the notes, however it doesn't separate well at all. It just throws it all together and makes noise. Also the sound stage is not good either. It fills the room sure, but it makes it sound like it is literally coming from everywhere and doesn't blend in very well with other speakers.

Overall Review: I am a audio person on a budget. I own cerwin vega speakers but decided to see what polk can do because I always hear how good they are and I have read that they are better then the cerwin vegas. Let me tell you right now that I have the Cerwin Vega VE-5M bookshelves and 1 of these do a better job then this center. It is smaller, only 1 driver, the bass is deeper and of better quality AND the mid-range and treble are more accurate. If I were you I would skip right over this speaker because there are MUCH BETTER sounding speakers at the same price. So all in all take all the 5 stars at a grain of salt, most of these people clearly haven't heard better or can justify it because of the cheap price. I however can't and will give you the facts before you buy it.

Don't Believe The Negative Reviews

Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Upgrade
Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Upgrade

Pros: Very fast install time, very very fast startup time and this is on a normal 320GB WD HD and not the SSD I am going to put in!! I personally like the "metro" interface, I find it visually appealing and very fast and useful. The app store is pretty cool, It has all kinda apps so you don't have to go online to send a email, message, check fb or anything. The store is a little bare right now but I know it will get better. Give the new look a chance, I promise if you approach it with a open mind you will find it better then 7. I have had 0 compatibility issues so far and everything has worked perfect with no skipping or any other issues. I have only been running it 2 days though ha. All monitors have their own "desktop" something I thought was dumb until I tried it. I love it because you can be in metro on one monitor and desktop in another and it doesn't matter what monitor because you can mix and match. Also it has native support for different backgrounds on each monitor which is very cool. I like the built in email client, I know outlook does this but all I do here is enter password and email and done. I can hit email addresses inside of the desktop or metro and it takes me right there to send off an email.

Cons: A little bit of a learning curve; nothing that can't be learned in maybe half an hour tops. Restarting and turning the PC off is IMO not good; it really needs to be redone. It doesn't seem to be built for multi-monitor using though. Things where you need to go to the corner for the charms menu and such can he hard to get "just right." Start menu search could be better, I would hope that will get changed soon.

Overall Review: Everything I have just said is just like 1/1000th of the good things about this OS. I just put this on my main work desktop which I use just a plain ol mouse and keyboard. Trust me with this, if I do not like something I will not use it and I am going to continue using Windows 8, it adds to the desktop experience in a way Windows 7 nor any other OS can't. With that said I fully recommend you try it. The upgrade is 40 dollars so you can't go wrong. I have one more thing to say and that is try it with a open mind and realize that Windows is evolving, but for the good of Desktops and Laptops and Tablets everywhere!
