Android HD 1080p XBMC Wi-Fi Media Center Player Mini PC TV Box
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Gave me a new appreciation towards my WD TV Live Media Player.
Makes for a Good and Expensive Paperweight.

Cons: Can't do anything

Other Thoughts: Ordered the 8726-mx, and received this model for some reason. Cannot use it for anything. It takes forever to do anything on it and it can't do anything correctly. Do not purchase this unless you want to flush away $100.
Now I am happy to use my WD TV Live Media Player.
I want my money back please!

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 DirectX 11 100352-3L 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Playing games at highest settings beautifully
With Afterburner it runs cool
3 Free Games! and Good ones! Thanks AMD!
Best card I have owned for under $250

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Overall a great Card. I have had it for 1 month now and will see how long it will last. I am running it cool with MSI Afterburner software, because I do not like the high temps.
Fans are fairly quiet and effective.

Got 3 free games at about $30-$40 value with this card that I can play at max quality!

Tombraider -max
Sleeping Dogs - max
DOTA - max

I really didn't expect to see so much more detail in all my games upgrading from a HD 7770 GHZ Edition, but WOW!
8.1 Score on Windows 8 Pro 64, for those who care.

8-core 8320
ASRock Extreme3 990FX
Corsair Vengeance PRO 16GB DDR31866
Samsung 840 256MB SSD
Windows 8 Pro 64

Blazing Fast!

ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: For the price, this is a great performing motherboard - 990FX
Nice UEFI BIOS with many options
Great reboot to Bios software & Temperature monitoring (Not good for overclocking through Windows or any automated software)
Overall FAST!! But it does require some manual BIOS changes

Cons: BIOS automatic overclocking and Xboost are useless. If I try to set it the computer does not work. You should overclock manually if you would like. Also, the CPU temperature in the BIOS is always blank, and I have update to the latest version. (Thankfully the software detects temperatures in Windwos)
Even after a lot of tweaking, I cannot get my Samsung 840 SSD to perform as well as it did in my Asus 970 MB.
XFast software seems pointless.

Other Thoughts: So far so good. There are a few cons, but nothing major that would deduct more than 1 egg. Overall a good motherboard by ASRock for just over $100. If you want a stable board that performs well buy this one, If you want a fantastic board, just spend more!

FX-8320 OC to 3.8 (going for 4GHZ soon) with Thermaltake liquid Cooling (30C idle)
16GB DDR3 Corasair Vengence PRO (2X8GB)
HD 7950 Saphire Graphics
Samsung 840 SSD 256GB & WD 2TB HDD
