Pros: Slimmer stance. Intel provides 3qty molex 4 pin to 2 x sata adapters when they used to only send one.
Cons: Has slots for 8 hard drives, but only 6 can be filled at a time per intel (for cooling purposes). Case only comes with 4 drive trays, no additional trays can be ordered as intel does not yet sell the part. Had to rig a 3.5 to 5.25 with screws, washers, and a lot of swearing. Also has 3 slots for 5.25 drives, but only provides rails for 2 5.25 drives. Once again, have to jerry rig as no parts are available. Lastly, power supply cables. There is only one sata power connector off the non-redundant power supply, and it won't even reach the cd rom directly in front of it. The power cable is literally only about 2 inches long.
Other Thoughts: We ordered this as part of a new rollout of more economically friendly servers for clients. If I had known how ill designed this case was, and how inadequate the parts were, I never would have purchased it. I would stick to the SC5650UPNA if you can, as parts are more readily available. If you absolutely must buy this chassis, order 2 so that you have enough parts to properly get your server setup. When I ordered this one, I ordered 2 for separate jobs. The second one was missing standoffs and screws, and the rear fan was only clipped in by 2 prongs and was loose on the other side. I really hope intel gets it together soon. This is getting old.READ FULL REVIEW
