Pros: Very powerful CPU for the price.
Overclocks very well on stock voltage.
Has eight full cores.
Cons: Requires considerable power and stresses out VMRs on motherobaords.
Not as fast as the more costly intel options.
Other Thoughts: The FX-8320 is a really amazing processor. I bought mine on sale for only $140.00. For the price this processor is really hard to beat. If you do buy this processor you should invest in a better motherboard to allow some overclocking. Even at stock voltages my FX-8320 went up to 4.5 Ghz stable. If you are on cheaper motherboard you can easily shut off the last 2 or 4 cores allowing you to overclock on even a cheep motherboard!. In my opinion with some basic tuning this processor becomes an amazing option for a powerful budget gaming PC.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: Reduces CPU temperature 25-30% over stock cooler
Cons: Very large
Doe NOT fit all cases or motherboards
May block your first/second memory slots
Takes 30-60 minutes to install
Other Thoughts: The Coolmaster hyper 212 Evo is the best CPU cooler I've ever owned. I bought two and installed the both over AMD FX-8320 Vishera Eight Core CPUs. Both systems went from a load roar to silence when under load. I can't understate how quiet these coolers are. Also with smart FAN control neither of my motherboards bother to push the fan much past 1200 RPM since the temperature never goes high enough to require the full 2000 RPM.
If you can fit this large cooler into your case and motherboard I strongly recommend picking the cooler up. With this said this cooler is definitely NOT compatible with all motherboards and cases. My smaller tower case just barely fit the cooler (with 0.25 cm of space between the cooler and my case side). My larger case fit the cooler, but my first memory slot is blocked (which wasn't an issue for me). So please check the reviews to see if people have had success with your case/motherboard before buying.
FIRST system I installed CM Hyper 212 Evo:
Rosewill REDBONE (0.25 cm space in-between cooler and lid)
ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS (Cooler fits, but the fan will just barely touch the first memory stick, but no issues with using the memory)
AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz eight-core
SECOND system I installed CM Hyper 212 Evo:
ENERMAX COENUS GUNMETAL GREY ECA3290A-G (No space issues, this case is huge)
BIOSTAR TA970 AM3+ AMD 970 (First memory slot is not usable, last three are accessible)
AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz eight-core
Pros: Fast sata drive.
Highly efficient drive.
Other Thoughts: I accidentally ordered this drive rather than the same WD blue drive, as my main PC drive.
Initially I was very worried as Western Digital states that in theory you should only use green drives as storage. In practice this just isn't true. I've seen the benchmarks and done my own with data transfer and game loading and this drive is just as fast as our WD blue drive in my other new computer.
As it turns out the design changes with the IntelliPower technology actually make this drive more efficient, not only in its use of electricity but in its access of data. It makes up for any slower speeds with higher efficiency. In all of my tests it preformed as well as the same WD Blue and sometimes faster.
Personally I believe Western Digital is avoiding giving us raw numbers from the green drive since most benchmarks will essentially show there is no reason for their blue drive to be sold any more.
