Amazingly fast CPU

Intel Core i7-2600 - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600
Intel Core i7-2600 - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600

Pros: -Imbedded Intel HD graphics this is great if you have or will buy an H67 chipset motherboard. -8Mb of L3 is great -You can tweak this beast to run a bit faster than 3.40GHz but unless you know what you are doing it is not recommended, might cause an unstable system -4 cores running @3.4GHz with a 3.7GHz turbo boost makes this processor alone extremely fast -Hyperthreading if 4 cores running @3.4GHz wasn't enough you still have this amazing feature that allows greater ease with multi-threaded applications virtually like running an extra 4 cores.

Cons: Other than the fact that it is not unlocked, can't think of none, but if you need to overclock pay an extra 20-30 bucks and get the i7 2600k

Overall Review: Please make sure that you do your research carefully and make sure that this is the processor that suits your needs. This is a great processor for the money you pay and is extremely fast as is. This processor is more for a high performance PC, if you are an overclocking fiend or enthusiast than maybe the 2600k is for you. My Setup: Asus Maximus IV Extreme Intel Core i7-2600 EVGA GeForce GTX SE (Fermi) 1Gb 256bit G.Skill Ripjaws X-series 8Gb (2X's 4Gb) Rosewill Bronze series 1000W Crucial SSD for OS Western Digital Caviar Blue 640 for Storage I know, I am not an enthusiast nor spend hours on end overclocking but I still bought the Asus Maximus IV Extreme because it is a great board.

Most Critical Review

Garbage

SmithMicro Checkit Registry Cleaner for Systme Builders
SmithMicro Checkit Registry Cleaner for Systme Builders

Pros: It was free with the purchase of the EVGA GeForce 460GTX.

Cons: Did a registry clean and cleaned some files that supposedly were not being used and ended up deleting essential registry keys needed for the Media player, and windows explorer was buggy afterwards. Plus after I installed it everytime I opened the checkit there was an update that needed to be installed which when I tried to install kept on uninstalling the software.

Overall Review: I don't think I would recommend this to anyone CCleaner is way better. I also recommend that no matter what registry cleaner you are trying to use back your keys before fixing(deleting) them.

Great SSD

Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1
Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1

Pros: This is a great drive, system boots up in less than 20 seconds. I would recommend this drive to those who ONLY will use this drive as a boot drive.

Cons: The price was and still is high for the amount of Gigs it has. Remember, all drives have a specific amount of GB's but in actuality pocesses less. So for a 64GB SSD your really only getting about 59GB maybe less.

Overall Review: Before anyone post any bad reviews about this SSD, please remember the amount of space on the drive. If you expect a fast drive then don't make that drive a boot drive and storage. 64GB is not a whole lot to work with so this drive, unless in RAID 0 with another identical drive i.e. same brand and model/capacity, this drive should serve best as a boot drive. Throw all your music, pics, and anything else on a seperate drive. REMEMBER, your drive has to index files and searches through them so the more stuff you have on that drive the longer it takes to get where it needs to be this also includes your boot up.

Great RAM

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Pros: Easy install Great design Works flawlessly Unbuffered

Cons: None

Overall Review: This memory is great and the price is not too bad, it is if your on a budget. Works incredibly well with my Asus Maximus IV Extreme motherboard. Didn't want to work at first at first start-up but cleared the CMOS and powered it back on and it was a breeze. By the way if you are going to overclock both CPU and RAM it is recommended you also by some sort of cooling system for your RAM as well.

Superb Processor

Intel Core i7-2600 - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600

Pros: 8Mb of L3 cache, Intel integrated HD 2000 graphics, Quad-Core running each @3.40GHz, Hyperthreading technology which virtually allows an extra 4 cores but you really have to be using some serious multi threading applications to make it use feature...bottomline this processor is a BEAST and its not even unlocked.

Cons: Bought the processor first thinking it will sell out but it was the motherboard that was recalled therefore I had a rediculously fast processor and no motherboard for it.

Overall Review: If you are a gamer or are a graphics type of person then you might want to go with the H67 chipset Motherboards to experience the HD graphics at a greater level. This processor is a great buy if you are not a over-clocking guru. Even if you are a serious gamer this processor is more than enough 4 cores running @3.40GHz and 3.8GHz with turbo boost...yeah I say thats plenty fast. If you want a beefy computer that can handle virtually anything you throw at it then is processor is a must have. My Build: Asus Maximus IV Extreme (Rev. 3) Intel Core i7-2600 EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1Gb 256bit GDDR5 G.Skill Ripjaws X series 8Gb (2X's 4Gb) LITEon Blu-Ray Burner Crucial 64Gb SSD for OS Western Digital Caviar Blue 640Gb for storage Rosewill Bronze series 1000W Windows 7 Ultimate

Pros: It is a very fast processor quad core processor with each core running at 3.40GHz is more than enough. You can tweak this processor however, unless you know what you are doing it is not recommended can cause an unstable system so beware. The imbedded HD graphics is another great feature only seen on these Sandy bridge processors great if you are using a H67 chipset.

Cons: I have none and if I did it would have to be the price, but its worth it if you want a beasty processor and obviously not unlocked.

Overall Review: This processor alone is more than you'll need, however if you are looking to do serious overclocking then check out the i52500k, i72600k, those processors are unlocked and you can do way more than this particular one. Before you buy, do your homework(research) and see what CPU is better for you either pay an extra 30 bucks for the unlocked i7 CPU or just get this one.
