Pros: Works perfectly for a great price. Does everything it's marketed to do.
I tested it on Windows 7 and Linux (Debian Wheezy), and it worked perfectly in both. Detected instantly and read and wrote to all cards tested.
Other Thoughts: For the price, a terrific little tool to keep in your desk drawer or in your travel bag... Works great.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RTK-007 Cable Tester - Pro
Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and for a great price. Comes with a nice little carrying case too that I didn't expect.
Cons: None I can see so far. Probably should have come with an 8P RJ45 patch cable to match the 6P RJ11 it did come with... but not really a con.
Other Thoughts: Comes with a base and a remote unit, an RJ11 patch cable, 2 RJ45 (male) x BNC (female) adapters for coax testing, a Male x Male BNC adapter, and a nice little leatherette carying case to hold it all together.
Very good little tool for the price... this is the most important tool in your network troubleshooting kit. A vast majority of major network issues are caused by pinout problems, and simple tools like this will save you countless headaches down the road. All this thing does is check for proper continuity... it's not very fancy, and you shouldn't overpay for something like this. Other big name brands out there will charge you much more for something that does literally the same exact thing this one does, so I recommend not overpaying or overthinking... this thing is cheap and effective. If you do any networking work, you NEED to own one of these, even if it's not this brand... buy one!
This review is from: TRENDnet TC-PDT Professional Impact Punch Down Tool
Pros: Works great for me so far. I've only had it for about a week though, so I'll report back if the quality drops off. For the time being, it's working fine. Good quality blades too.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Works well and for a very competitive price. I can't really see much of a difference between this and some of the other big names out there. I'll report back if the quality drops off quicker than it should... but I honestly don't see that happening. We'll see!READ FULL REVIEW
