Up to Expectations (so far)
Pros: Install was easy and smooth; no issues at all, software worked fine right from the start on my Windows 7 machine. Speed is terrific so far. I have a fairly busy home network (2 overlapping SSIDs in my house plus several from the neighbors, probably 10-15 wifi devices on my networks) and I get an excellent signal in the room adjacent to the one the router sits in. Got 1Gbps connection speed right away, and it seems to bounce between 1Gbps and 867Mbps. I really like the magnetic triangle base for the antennas; I have it stuck to the side of my PC tower. I think it definitely helps to have the antennas away from the back of the PC in terms of reception.
Cons: None so far; obviously this card is a bit more expensive than other options out there, but it's also one of the fastest cards available right now.
Overall Review: I do a fair amount of streaming movies over my home network, and occasionally moving around big files. I've noticed that movie streaming is much improved and have no problem watching 1080p movies over the wifi. A while ago I upgraded my router and switch to 10/100/1000 speed, and I finally figured it was time to get the wifi up to the same speeds. (Side note, also had to buy an appropriate AC router to take full advantage of this card, obviously.)
AOC q2963Pm Monitor
Pros: Great colors, good lighting, good build quality. I have had no dead pixels (was worried about that from some of the other reviews). Screen looks great, and I find it very useful for multi-tasking. I've played one game on it, and it looks very nice doing that too.
Cons: Software is a bit suspect, it works most of the time but it seems a little rough around the edges, and is a bit buggy. Also, I wish the stand was more adjustable; it only tilts, no swivel without moving the base and no vertical sliding. However, the monitor is VESA mountable so you can always get a new mount.
Overall Review: Make sure your setup can handle this resolution; I ordered without checking the capabilities of my docking station, and had to order a new DisplayLink adapter to support a resolution beyond 2048 pixels wide. It doesn't bother me, but the bezel is not particularly thin. The "physical" bezel is very thin, but within the screen there is a black border of non-display area that makes the overall bezel pretty standard. Overall, I would say that if you want a monitor with this form factor/resolution, it's a great choice.
StarTech DP2DVIADAP
Pros: Works as advertised, good connections/connectors on both ends. Seems well built.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I'm using this to connect a USB 3.0 to DisplayPort adapter to a DVI Dell monitor. It works well, no problems. Video is good and clear, connectors are good, seems to do just what it was designed to do..
