MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Pro Gaming with Killer Networking & Sound Blaster Intel Motherboard
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: I love the way this board looks and BIOS is attractive and easy. Looks sweet with red Ripjaws X series..

Cons: The Killer Network Manager!!?? It certainly does just that.. This is the MOST infuriating thing I have EVER dealt with. I hope MSI sees this too because their tech support regarding the issue was awful. Here, download this driver because the ones on the disc that comes with the mobo are out of date.. Thats great and all but heaven forbid Im able to use my 165/75mbps internet speed. Good luck trying to uninstall it, you'll have no internet access at all... Not like its any different with it installed anyways. After talking to an MSI tech support guy and then also having someone from Windows support in my rig for over and hour trying to help get it under control with no luck and also giving my ISP a hard time to make sure it wasn't on their end I still couldn't get it figured out. On top of that it recognizes my 1866 Ripjaws X series as 1600s?.. I love spending the upwards or $1500 on new gaming rig and not being able to use it.

Other Thoughts: Take this horrible, buggy Killer Network Management off!! It really lives up to its name!
