Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1151 65W BX80662G4400 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 510

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: -Fast for a Dual Core
-Great Power for $65
-Can render video in a decent time for a Dual Core
-Can handle gaming (with dedicated graphics, and slightly lowered settings)
-AGAIN IT'S CHEAP! If you're upgrading/building a Skylake system, this is a surrogate CPU to get whilst you wait to get an i5 or an i7.
-Stays extremely cool for 100% usage while using aftermarket cooler
-This is the CPU equivalent to the Noisy Cricket gun from MiB.
-This could be described as a tinny rabbid squirrel loaded to the teeth with Machine Guns and Ammo.

Cons: -Can't handle DDR4 past base clock of 2133
-Doesn't like split screen games
-Doesn't like streaming games (steam in-home streaming, etc.)
-Although it is cheap, percentage wise it is part of the inflated prices issue. And I docked an egg for newegg following suit to the heavily inflated Skylake process right now. The 6700k is $100 over MSRP. I definitely recommend you go to Micro Center if you have one near you because they have stayed decent in the fiasco of Intel's own bidding. Unfortunately the nearest one for me is in KC (3 hours away).

Other Thoughts: If you are building/upgrading to Skylake and can't afford the inflated prices of the Skylake i5's and i7's right now, definitely go with this processor. I just bought my i5 today (wanted the i7 but I'll probably give the i5 to my fiance when we do her build and get me an i7). I wouldn't utilize the APU on this CPU. It might be rated for 3 displays at 4k/60Hz but that could be for extremely low low low settings haha.

Now that I have bought an i5. This sucker will be a backup and then eventually running a server.
