Pros: This has a powerful signal. It can also be used as a bridge access point. I have deployed about 6 of these to my customers over the last few months. No failures yet.
Cons: Sometimes the web interface is slow or hangs up. I was not able to configure a separate SSID on a VLAN, I think because I had a server doing DHCP for the network instead of the router itself.
Other Thoughts: I've gone from Linksys to Trendnet to TP-Link and now to Buffalo. I hope that Buffalo works better than the previous brands. I have 3 TP-Links that I have to RMA right now.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Newegg.com really takes care of its customers. When the first one died they overnighted me a new one. When the second one died they did not charge a restocking fee and paid for the return shipping.
Cons: 2 dead NASs in a row. The first one just faded away. It would not finish the software install, then I could no longer connect to it.
The second one never showed up in the network at all. The network lights never lit. And it never got an address from the DHCP on the router.
Other Thoughts: Newegg.com rocks!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Smallest laptop I could find with built in DVD drive and great battery life. I like the keyboard.
Cons: When I tried to put XP Pro on it I had to change the hard drive from SATA to IDE in the BIOS and the computer never worked again. It would never get past POST after that. I had to send it back to ACER to be fixed.
The DVD drive does not open most of the time when the eject button is pushed. It has to be restarted. (I have not tried the right click eject function(afterthought)). I does not matter if you have Vista or XP on it, the problem is the same.
Other Thoughts: I wanted this model instead of the one with XP already on it because it had a larger hard drive, more RAM, and a faster CPU.
I give it 2.5 eggs. I would not recommend this as your main computer though.
