Pros: Fast, very fast. Good price. Bought them for enterprise data storage where the write speed is way higher than what arrays of normal drives could ever handle
Cons: After 2.5 months, one of the two drives dropped out of the raid. All raid and SMART analysis said the drive was "OK" ("clean"), but it wouldn't reinsert it. After lots of tracking, it turns out that one of the drives is reporting 1MB smaller than the other drive to the BIOS and OS. I lost a MB of capacity in 2.5 months. Can't reassemble the raid, data lost. Seriously, the usage scenario is write-once, read many. There should be no problems with that usage, and the drives were only at 6% of capacity.
Other Thoughts: Running CentOS 6.1, software raid0. Frequent backups, needed the read bandwidth.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Cons: - HS is bigger than the case
- riser nuts interfere with socket handle closing, so heatsink can't be fully seated
- fan started rattling around and died after 2 months.
- fan was always very loud
For $35+, this is a big ripoff.
Pros: Plugged it in, was detected, seems to be working fine. Hasn't crashed yet! <knock on wood>
Cons: none yetREAD FULL REVIEW
