Pros: The most exceptional after purchase service I have experienced. Over-the-top professional help as fast as can be performed. I purchased 16 GB of Ares 1866 DDR3 RAM about 2 years ago. It worked perfectly right out of the box. There was nothing about the purchase to complain.
I recently purchased 16GB of additional like ram. After installing the new RAM, I submitted for an RMA because a problem happened at the time of this install, and it had the appearance of being a RAM problem. I mentioned that I was expanding my RAM; GSkill suggested I return all 4 sticks, 32GB so that they could send me 4 matching sticks of RAM at no additional charge.
The total return time took a week, which is very fast in my experience.
When I installed the RAM, the same problems appeared, so I called them.
They made no attempt to place the responsibility on any other equipment supplier, they simply continue to serve my problem, accepting all responsibility for the problem.
I took the advice given as the next step.
To make the process easier for myself, I placed my computer on its side.
I don't even know why, but I booted my computer for one last trial, before taking the advice that Kim at GSkill provided.
To my surprise, the computer booted and functioned perfectly. It was obviously something other than a memory problem. I found a loose connection that had an effect on my problem. Tightening it stabilized the original problem completely. My problem had nothing to do with my memory purchase.
I was embarrassed a bit, because I realized how much time and effort GSkill had provided to help me, and wanted to show my gratitude. I offered to write a long-hand testimonial and/or anything that would benefit GSkill.
Their response was more-or-less, it is not necessary; we are just happy your problem is solved. To me, that shows their character and quality of service. It also reflects on the quality of their product, because my memory worked perfect, and they still took responsibility for the problem. They were only interested in making sure their product performed as promised.
I will never purchase another brand.
Other than the statements I just mentioned, I have no reason to give such a glowing report. I am doing you a favour, because I am positive your memory purchase from GSkill is a safe and wise purchase.
I am a retired artist and have nothing to do with GSkill. I do not know anyone working at their company other than making friends with Kim, the man who helped me. Any questions you submit that are referred to me, I will respond.
Cons: None. Everything relating to my purchase of GSkill memory was perfect.
Other Thoughts: I am 72 years old. In my memory, this is only the second time I have given a glowing report. Basically I am not very trusting. But I believe myself as a fair person too.
I wrote this report as much for you the potential purchaser of GSkill products, as I did in gratitude for the service I received.
Pros: Nothing good can be said about this one.
Cons: I have never owned a mouse last with this much use showing on it. The thought that Logitech would offer such a product as refurbished is obscene. Never seen a battery lid like this one, which I can not figure out how to open, without some kind of instruction. Coupled with the last purchase from Newegg, I have had to eat abut $200 of useless product sold as new, and now as refurbished. Must be a new and less honorable ownership or management. No longer to be trusted.
Other Thoughts: I wrote off the defective motherboard you sold me. Your policies for return are such that you would think a customer was responsible for defective new products.
I am so angry with you, it is difficult to remain civil. I am a customer you have written off for future purchases and I don't believe you have the fortitude to print this one.
Nonetheless, when the character of a company goes from exemplary to worthless, I am sure you will get in return what you have given to me. Lots more people will be hurt by that; employees, customers, and reputation. You who grow to such size are destined to self-destruct. New people have to make their mark. In the end at their customer's expense. I can hear the gurgling death rasp of Newegg.
