This review is from: Intuit Quicken Premier 2014
Pros: Not much different from 2013 except for below...
Cons: 2014 crashed with Windows 8.0/8.1 till fix with revision 4. Now with revision 5, they require log in to your Quicken account every time you do a "Onestep" update or update any account. There is a point where one provides too much info to a software company, and this seems to be it, especially with all my significant data here.
Other Thoughts: I'm going back to 2013 version for the second time.
If you use online/cloud backup storage you may want to reconsider for security? Even when encrypted before you transmit, you are only being tempestuous with a thin vale!
This review is from: ASUS ROG RAIDR Express PCI-E 240GB PCIe 2.0 x 2 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Works as advertised, TRIM works on set up. Some good software included.
Cons: I have SABERTOOTH X79 mobo, upgrading the BIOS past version 4302, i.e. versions 4404 and 4502, will not recognize this card. Had to go back to the 4302!!! (I think 4302 was latest when RAIDR started shipping.) Not noticeably faster than good SSDs. Should be a little bigger in size.
Other Thoughts: You have to disable the onboard Marvell chip which isn't such a bad thing because it slows booting. Note that drive comes up as "Windows Boot Manager" in BIOs boot preferences.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Nippon Labs SATA3L-0.8FT-SL 0.8 ft. SATA III Cable w/ Locking Latch
Pros: These Nippon cable connectors fit more snugly/smoothly and seem more secure than all the others I've used. This .8 ft (10 inch) is just the right length for most cases.
Cons: Don't buy the 6 inchers, too short for any normal case.READ FULL REVIEW
