Pros: This laptop has great specs for the price, it's able to run most of my games at max settings.
Cons: After owning it for one day, I started having problems. While a game was open, and the laptop was plugged in, it would start switching between charging power and battery power. This was frustrating considering there are two entirely different screen brightnesses for the two settings, and the laptop makes a loud, harsh beep when it switches.
I got on the horn with Acer's tech support. Their tech support was foreign and couldn't understand what I was saying. The first tech support representative said "So I understand you cannot boot your computer?" The second said "I understand your battery will not charge?" They then suggested I use Acer's paid phone support service. I gave up on phone support and went to their chat support. The man there told me that the "Video card doesn't support those games." I'm playing Minecraft, Oblivion, TF2, World of Warcraft, GW2. It's an NVIDIA card, it obviously supports those games. I'll be shipping back to Newegg or Acer and hopefully get a better one.
Other Thoughts: It also decided to boot in Windows 95 one time, it said "Preparing your Desktop," and then booted it what appeared to be W95, with only my recycle bin on the desktop.
It appears as though there's a problem with the motherboard.
