Pros: Price! Picked this up as a "shell shocker" deal and got the mail in rebate! Installed in my ASUS 1215BT Netbook which was not the easiest swap I've ever done. No fault of the drive though. Screen loads are instantaneous...not quick...INSTANTANEOUS! Games include HalfLife2 and Tombraider 2 (don't laugh, was feeling nostalgic. Plus, have you ever tried installing an old legacy game on a modern OS? Very challenging...good times). Keep in mind, this is a cheap netbook...not exactly a gaming platform.
Cons: Had some intermittent freezes (not lockups) that occured during the first couple of weeks, but none since. Never could figure it out, though I suspect Windows was configuring/installing .net updates during "idle" time. Trackpad would still function, but all clicks were delayed by 60-90 sec. This happened approx 5 times during the first couple of weeks. Hasn't happened since, but certainly seemed worth mentioning.
Other Thoughts: Did a clean OS install of Win7 Pro 64-bit (came pre-installed) via ASUS OS backup utility. After POST, I have my destop in 16 seconds and am happily surfing the web 3 seconds later. Benchmark using ATTO (default settings) as recommended on OCZ website: DAY 1 - Read 190 MB/sec Write 240 MB/sec. DAY 34 - Read 282 MB/sec Write 253 MB/sec. Getting quicker as time goes on. My system is only capable of SATA II speeds so I'm very happy with these numbers.READ FULL REVIEW
