My second great Lian-LI case

LIAN LI PC-P80NB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-P80NB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's a winner, read the con's first. In a month or so I'll fill the Pros out. It appears that there will be several. See my comments on the Newegg's A71F feedback page

Cons: This is for the folks at Lian-LI. My PC-A71F came ato me in perfect shape but the 80N, not quite so. Your final QC is letting you down. Before I opened the box, it had loose items ratteling around. Opening it reveiled that the small cardboard holding the accessories had the lid come open althourh the tye strap was intact. This allowed All the items to spread all over the interior of the case. The PSU clamp marked up several spots on the right side cover, not enough to see from the outer surface. The left side was ok. sure glad you pui the screws and other small item in bags. Nextthe door will not close enough to allow the grey seal to make contact unless the lock is locked. Investigation revieled the sspring loaded ball at the top was not properly located. The small formed box holding the spring and ball is not properly formed at it's manfacture and it is allowing the ball to be .062" too far away from the door. Next, the cover lid for the USB ports does not close(see below)

Overall Review: flush like the 71 does. I can press lightly on it and it will and it looks like it's formed correctly, probably in the left hinge. YOUR WEB SITE REALLY NEEDS A CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONCE LOCATION, YOU COULD GET SOME REALLY GREAT INPUT FOR THE FOLKS OUT IN THE WORLD. NONE OF US ARE PERFECT. CHECK MY SPELLING FOR EXAMPLE That's all for now folks. From an old retired aircraft mech. I love to work with AL

I'm Back

Pros: Well it's time for the Pro's and there are several. the few noted "bobos" mentioned in my first note have been worked except the door catch ball have been worked out at no cost and little time. Haven't got that one figured out yet. The case is a work of art, as far as its design allows.. I like the plastic wahers on the screws that retain the side covers. The video board bridge holds my Asus Matrix GTX 580 from sagging. The P8Z68 Deluxe makes great use of the rubber covered pass throughs. It handles the cables quite well, placement was no problem. Filters are much better that my previous A71F. It's quite for a large case with 9 fans, you know it's there, but its not objectionable.

Cons: Lian Li Customer Service is still vacant. Gee's you know if they had a real Customer Service and took care of the little issues, they couldn't be beat!

Great Case Will last a lifetime.I'm 72 only have 30 years or so left

Pros: I knew when i got the case I was going to mod it. I ground off the heads of 4 aluminum rivets, removed three screws and had a removable mobo. Used a 4mmx70 tap and drill to thread the rivet holes in the mobo. Got new screws from HD. Replaced the feet with casters and pop riveted them on. I now have a Great Case. Filled it with a P8Z68, and the other correct stuff. The only lighted item is a Zalman 9900B. Quiet, easy to ground too and it moves around at a tug. I'll install a pair of top fan as Lian li has a replaceable top with two fan grates. I've installed a pair of filters under the front door with velcro. I'll remove the oem fans as soon as it need a dust cleaning.

Cons: Like someone said eariler it does show finger marks from handeling. the front filter is (on a scale of 1 to 10)1.66, at least ther is one.

Overall Review: Looks like Lian li has discontinued this case as it is not on their web site.
