Patriot 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory Model PSD22G8002S
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Excellant choice for Toshiba notebook, noticeable improvement in performance.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have used Patriot memory in all my machines over the last few years and it has always worked flawlessly. Great memory at a great price.

Disappointed in Newegg's new shipping practice, very slow, but still love the company.

LINKSYS WRE54G Wireless-G Range Extender
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

4 out of 5 eggs Works great but confusing to setup 10/31/2007

This review is from: LINKSYS WRE54G Wireless-G Range Extender

Pros: This unit had a very small footprint and a great deal of increased range. If installed correctly can work for years without futher touching. Easy to setup if you have a descent understanding of networking. I setup mine up in about 25 minutes, and it extended my range almost 300 feet.

Cons: The manual be can somewhat confusing if your not strong in networking.

Other Thoughts: Excellent device for doing what it was designed to do, extend the range of your wireless LAN. I've been using mine for almost two years without any troubles and the price is reasonable.

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate DVD
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

5 out of 5 eggs Outstanding 08/20/2007

This review is from: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate DVD

Pros: I upgraded from XP Pro SP2 to Vista Ultimate 64, what a difference. The XP version was 32-bit, so maybe that’s why I see such a performance improvement but I can’t get over how fast this thing is now. All of the hardware was compatible, if Vista needed new drivers it usually went a got them on its own. The UAC (User Account Control) was annoying but it can be turned off (which I did), the other security items I just let run. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a machine with the ability to do so. Vista does like RAM so make sure you have a enough, just sitting at the desktop, Vista is using right at 800 Meg.
And, I purchased everything from NewEgg, an outstanding company!

Cons: At this point I don't have any.

Other Thoughts: My Machine Specs.
