Pros: They look nice
Cons: I've used WD drives for years and never had the problems until now. I bought 2 WD30EFRX 3TB for my Synology NAS ran great for about a month then crash I couldn't access any data. I ran heavy smart scans and they come up with nothing. Synology some how got my access back on one drive in my raid 1 config. I blamed Synology for all my woes because all the scans I did on the drives came up clean unknowingly I bought two more of these crummy drives. I backed up my data and started all over with the new drives. Things were going good till I mirrored back to the first two drives and 3 days later crash. did all the scans again and it finds nothing wrong. I know with out a doubt there's something wrong with at least one of those drives.
Other Thoughts: I wish I could send them all back for a refund. I should have bought the black series or taken my chances with Segate. What ever plant the Red NAS drives come out of are not QC tested very well judging by the reviews.READ FULL REVIEW
