This review is from: Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive STDR1000100 Black
Pros: Drive arrived in 4 days using the Super Saver shipping, in excellent condition and packaged carefully. The drive is in perfect working order with no signs of previous owners.
Write speed is right around 75mbs while transferring large movie files. The drive is currently formatted in exFAT with a file allocation of 32768 kb. (I do a lot of work between Windows and Mac)
Cons: I know it's common, but it only has 931GB. Not enough to deduct an egg, but heck, that's not a full TB.
Other Thoughts: I bought this drive when it was 30% off and I had a promo code from the email to take $20 more off the final price, which made it $69.99. Great deal.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: OCZ Vector Series VTR1-25SAT3-128G 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC
Pros: The SSD worked great for right around 2 months...
Cons: But almost to the exact date I bought it, the drive died, literally with no warning. It is no longer detected in BIOS, and doesn't work in any of the three Harddrive bays I have in my laptop. All my other drives work in all three. What is worse, it died within a 48-hour window of a major composition project being due. It forced me to buy an emergency drive from B*stBuy (sigh...)
Other Thoughts: I'm hesitant on trusting another one of these drives. Luckily, I had my file system set in a way that only my operating systems were on the SSD, but it is still a huge pain and pathetic that the drive only lasted around 2 months from the time I purchased it.
I will update this once I try to get a replacement with OCZ.
This review is from: Case Logic Black 17.3" Laptop Backpack Model RBP-117
Pros: This is an excellent bag! I have an Asus g74sx, and it does fit in the laptop compartment. By fit, I mean I can close the zipper, it is a tight squeeze, but it works. No visible damage on the corners of the laptop from the inside of the zipper, so I am happy.
Along with the laptop, I can fit three 1-inch binders, a book, 2 pairs of headphones, an umbrella, a water bottle, and some valuables in the "secret" pocket. I don't look like a Sherpa and I can carry everything I need for a day at university.
Cons: I wish it were only 1/2 inch bigger, but it works for what I need.
I wish I could remove the little chest harness strap, because it's silly looking to me... but not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: excellent bag, would buy again if I need to.READ FULL REVIEW
