This review is from: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Xbox 360
Pros: -different style to the campaign
-the same fun multiplayer
-near futuristic ideas blend well
-zombies are fun to kill
-the price i got it from here($48)
-prestige mode is actually not a chore and worth it if you know you'll play the game long after the first few months.
-league play is interesting
-scorestreaks are cool and varied(the gaurdian is fun to use and also the dragonfire)
Cons: -Lag lag lag lag, its terrible when it happens lag compensation is ever prevelent still in recent COD's
-no dedicated servers
-some maps are meh and are predictable(turbine ends up being a snipefest)
-season pass begging
-SMG's are still the go to weapons
-some of the later score streaks can lead to people camping for them.
-nuketown isn't its own dlc mode now like when it was first launched, its still there but you have to vote for the map.
-hit detactions is off its too random
-Combat training is still online only,LAME
Other Thoughts: Its a step up from black ops which is the last cod I played, never played mw3 aside for a few minutes so i can't compare it to that. It won't surprise anyone whose played these games since 07 but it has enough content to justify the price. If you have friends who play COD daily then definitely its worth playing if want to relax and play with buddies. Its still has that fun gameplay that keeps you playing for hours in the end if it can keep you for playing that long I'd say its still a good game. Now if they can only get dedicated servers.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Doom 3: BFG Edition Xbox 360 Game
Pros: -good graphics
-doom 1&2 included
Cons: -sudden auto saves
-too easy on lower difficulties
-multiplayer is lacking
-you cant install doom1&2 to the HDD
Other Thoughts: For $30 i had a blast playing through doom 3, there's a lot of content here but if you already played it on the pc there's really no reason to play it again on consoles regardless of the new 7 lost missions. Even the PC version i'd say isn't worth it if you've played the original version to death.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft XBOX 360 Kinect Bundle w/Kinect Sports 4 GB White
Pros: -The console looks nice, the glossy white isn't as noticeable as the earlier black but it has some chrome lining for that overall retro 2005 xbox 360 look
-Kinect is a nice piece of hardware and functions well with no real faults.
-Wifi, nothing new but its always worth mentioning
-Setup is super simple
-Tons of parental controls makes it easy for parents to setup the console the way they want their families to enjoy it.
-Xbox live is very smooth always connected and has all your friends right there, plenty of content in the marketplace so its almost impossible to not have something to play.(the console comes pre-loaded with a bunch of fun arcade games.)
-The controller is very comfortable, really its that good that you'll want some games on the console so you can use its controller.
-7-8 years worth of games to add to your library.
-The console is pretty quite ever more if you install games to your hard drive.
-3 months of xbox live include
Cons: -Its old tech, so expect to have newer games(2012) to chug sometimes.
-You'll need to pay to play online(multiplayer)
-4GB internal hard drive is too small, upgrade when you get the chance. Its even less space when you format and update the system's OS
-Microsoft points are a little annoying and can make you overpay for points basically you'll want dollar amounts.
-Huge emphasis on online, this can be a good or bad thing its up to you.
-Tons of Ads on the dashboards, again its up to you if hate ads you'll get annoyed but you don't play online you wont have to to deal with it too much.
-Not enough original games, Alan wake,Halo,Gears of War and Fable are the ones that get mentioned often as exclusives but there are other games that are good but are not recognized as great titles for the consoles.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for my younger brother so he can enjoy the summer with his very own console he's been wanting a xbox ever since he started playing Bully on my 360. We did have a PS3 but it YLOD when he was playing mortal kombat so we had to choose between the famous choice get slim ps3 or 360, since he wanted a 360 badly it was a no brainer especially with newegg having the kinect bundle for only $250.
Hopefully newegg has something similar for the ps3 this holiday season so i can oick one up.
Shipping was super quick ordered it friday and got it tueday. No complaints aside from UPS's incompetence as always.
