EDIMAX EW-7318USG Wireless LAN Hi-Gain Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g USB 2.0 Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: This has worked very well right out of the box. I was having some issues with the current WiFi card I was using just not getting enough signal strength to stay connected all the time even though I wasn't moving the computer. The EDIMAX made a huge difference in signal strength and maintaining it without any dropouts. I actually leave this computer on all the time with monitoring software so if I get a drop out and let me know in seconds.... but that's never happened with this part. Highly recommended

Cons: It's a little awkward because of its higher antenna. For instance if the USB ports are in the back of a portable opening the portable LCD within the antenna downward.... it's completely adjustable so that's not really a major issue.... but anything sticking out of a portable can get snagged on something.... with a desktop no issues at all.

5 out of 5 eggs connect 2 eSATA cables 06/25/2009

This review is from: KINAMAX AD-A666 eSATA Female to eSATA Female Bridge Adapter

Pros: Simple way to connect 2 eSATA cables together when you need that additional extension.

Cons: A long-term solution would be to buy a longer eSATA cable on NewEgg like the Link Depot 6 ft. eSATA to eSATA cable Model ESATA-ESATA-6BU

Nippon Labs eSATA Bracket One SATA II and One eSATA 2 ports combo bracket for SATA I and SATA II Hard Drive Model ESATAB-C
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Nice eSATA/SATA combo extender. Plugged into the board and ready to go. Cable length is pretty reasonable as my SATA work towards the front of the motherboard…. a bit of a stretch but worked. No problems worked as you would expect an extension to function.

Cons: None .... works fine
