This review is from: Logitech K740 Illuminated USB Keyboard
Pros: I love the feel of the keys and the keystroke is perfect. My typing speed has increased by 5/wpm when tested with this board. I have spent more on keyboards, but this board has been the best I've ever owned/used.
I'm not going to call this a con because of the way it was handled by Logitech; I have never received better customer service from any company. My first board went bad after approx 6 months. I contacted Logitech, and they had one shipped out to me and I received it in less than a week after contacting them. There was no charge and the process was simple, seamless and very fast.
Other Thoughts: I really can't say enough about this board, for me/to me it has been one of the best purchases I've ever made. Additionally, Logitech's customer service is far and above what I expected. Sad to say, I've become accustomed to mediocre or non-existent CS. Logitech certainly takes their customers serious and provides service as it should be.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Love the modern, contemporary look. After buying stainless appliances for my home, I started wanting silver stuff everywhere, so this was an immediate must have the first time I saw it. Love the feel of the keystroke, love typing on it. Although I now keep my Aurora away from my clients' view, anyone that saw my keyboard used to oohhh & ahhh and immediately beg to type on it. I don't know of anyone that had seen one before & most thought they must have one (until they asked the price!). Strictly speaking functionality, I love this keyboard. I love to type and I type over 100 WPM, and when typing on my Aurora I feel as if my speeds soar to 120 WPM or more. Even when I am speed typing, the keys can barely be heard.
Cons: Huge disappointment with the paint wearing off keys. I paid full price for this board, no rebate, no special, therefore to me this is an expensive board. I have never paid over $30 for a keyboard b-4 this. One would think that at retail price, the board would keep a nice appearance and finish for minimum one year. One would also think that with the Enermax name on it, the board would have zero issues. Before the end of 2 months of usage, the space bar had an oval black spot which has steadily grown & only becomes uglier. The 'home base' keys are now starting to dull and I can see it is only a matter of time b-4 they too will have black spots on them. I still use this board, however I took it out of view from my clients. Better to have a normal everyday that looks decent that everyone sees rather than to display my Aurora the way it now looks (like a hand-me-down from Goodwill!)
Other Thoughts: I have been an Enermax consumer (approx 10 years) because I've felt their reliability & their products to be among the best. Being an IT Pro, I have always recommended Enermax products to my clients. I'm really sorry that I can't recommend this product. I will continue to recommend and buy Enermax PSUs, cases and fans. However I do believe this will be my last keyboard from Enermax. Just doesn't seem like the Enermax way - design a beautiful peripheral, make such a functional and solid piece, but then skimp when it comes to the keys!! It indeed was beautiful for the first six weeks, but when the paint started wearing off, I was no longer showing it off. I feel it is important to take pride in how my rigs look, and I get creative when building them. Because of this, I'm constantly being hired to mod or custom build. Having my keyboard look as it does now, does nothing to seduce my clients.READ FULL REVIEW
