1 out of 5 eggs Can't see in my windows explorer, can't full format 12/03/2013

This review is from: ZTC Thunder Enclosure mSATA to USB 3.0 Adapter. Aluminum Case High Speed 6.0GB/s. Model ZTC-EN001

Pros: Can hook up a mSATA SSD via USB

Cons: Can only format it, cannot view the disk or its contents in windows explorer

Not worth $30

Other Thoughts: I'm trying to format a SSD that was used as a caching drive and has my info on it, and I can initiate a full format from Disk Management, but it gets to 2% every time and then my computer tells me that the device malfunctioned and windows no longer recognizes it. If I do a quick format it completes but I still cannot see the drive in windows explorer, whether I use exFAT or NTFS. Maybe it's just my mSATA SSD, but I kind of doubt that. Also there is no manual in the box, no drivers, no info on how to get drivers, just a sticker on a brown cardboard box that says "USB 3.0 MSATA CASE" and that's it.

I'm using a laptop so it's a real hassel to put a mSATA drive in or take it out, but it looks like that's what I'm going to have to do to fully format it.
