Crucial BX100 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Many pros but the quick boot up is very convenient and programs run much better. Using Macrium free edition, imaging my current Win 7 was a breeze. I used to leave my computer on all day and sometimes all night just so I wouldn't have to sit around with my thumb up my xxx waiting for the thing to boot up. Now I shut down whenever not in use.

Cons: No cable or USB adapter. It would be nice if these were sold pre-formatted for Windows or Mac or Ubuntu. But locating and formatting the drive through Windows Disk Management is easy enough.

Other Thoughts: This went into a seven year old Athlon 64 X 2 based desktop with an SATA 2 interface. I had a feeling the old hard drive was a bottleneck and I was right. BIG DIFFERENCE in overall performance. Unless your current OS is poisoned, imaging is so much less hassle than starting from scratch. I followed advice I read online and killed auto defrag and indexing.

Polk Audio RC60i White Round 6.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Clear articulate sound. As rear surround speakers, these speakers perfectly compliment
2 Polk 40's, a CS 10and PSW 505 on a Pioneer 5.1. Some shows mix there surround sound brilliantly. Have you seen Justified?

Cons: Not really a con. Slightly inefficient. I have had to boost each by 4db.

Other Thoughts: Removed builders installed speakers from my new home. Wow. What a difference.

Digital Optical Coaxial Toslink to Analog RCA L/R Audio Converter + Cable OD 5.0
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Small hide-able unit. Converts either optical or coax to analog.
Whatever sound loss occurs, is minimal.
Comes with long attractive optical cable which I don't need for now but will come in handy I'm sure, at some point.

Cons: Must have arrived in the States on a slow boat from China.
Ordered March 12, arrived April 11; at least in the same year.
The seller, Arcane Dominion, needed prodding from Newegg to put more oars in the water.

Other Thoughts: Direct TV sucks for not having analog outputs on the Genie satellites.
