Pros: $14.99 after MIR, free shipping, so it's the cheapest 6450 card out there,
I need a video card for my HTPC, and this card works fine with HDMI, the color and picture quality is noticably better than my onboard Intel GMA X4500,
It also frees up 256MB of my memory as it was shared by onboard video,
Works fine without external power adapter, so it doesnt consume whole lot more electricity,
It's quiet...no fan :)
Cons: This is 32bit card, and many people confirmed it couldn't game. But I just need it for HTPC: play video, youtube, internet. So it's fine.
Other Thoughts: I think it's great for HTPC. For game, please consider spend at least 19.99 after MIR for GT430, or 40 after MIR for Radeon 6670, or even more.
Windows 7 socre: 3.1 for desktop and areo (it's actually lower than my onboard GMA X4500), 5.9 for 3D and gaming (much higher than my onboard GMA X4500 at 3.4, but I wouldn't play game using this computer anyways. For game, I still use my good old 9800 GT.)
So far so good, just waiting for the rebate.
This review is from: ECS G41T-M5 LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Low price and good value for people like me who doesn't overclock.
Cons: I bought it on sale, and I don't expect great feature out of the board. However, I am surprised one of the transistors on the board can block heatsink. It's Intel Duo Core E6300 with retail heatsink and fan. Did ECS even test the board before putting this to the market? I had to bend the transistor and hopefully it will work as I only installed CPU so far and still waiting for the new Hard drive and memory.
Other Thoughts: I would expect the board at least works without bending transistors here and there. I hope that bended transistor will last for awhile.READ FULL REVIEW
