This review is from: AC Adapter Charger Home Wall Charger for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 SGH-i497 SGH-T779
Pros: This charger will charge your SGH-i1497, but...
Cons: It charges SLOWLY! It takes all day to charge my device. I suspect the voltage is incorrect leading to the "charging issue" icon.
Other Thoughts: I kept the usb travel charging block that came with my tablet and replaced the worn cord. While that fixed my issue, I would have preferred to have a dedicated wall charger. Look for a Super Power Supply 30 pin connector and use that if you can.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Charges and transfers data flawlessly
Cons: Possible wear issues
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these after my factory cord began fraying. I bought a 2.0 Amp charger on newegg as well, but it charged way too slow. The first cable lasted quite a while and then began to fail charging. I swapped it out for the other I bought and it worked great. I think these cables are a bit more durable than the factory ones, but given I use my SGH-1497 daily, I must be wearing out my cords faster. I recommend buying several at a time, though having shipping cost more than the product itself stinks.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N1501UB USB Wireless Mini Adapter N150 Wi-Fi Adapter
Pros: Cheap. Super Cheap. And it mostly works. I got decent range out of it, too.
Cons: After a couple months of regular use, it would drop all connections. Restarting my Windows 7 machine or removing and replacing would reset it to work again for a while. Streaming Pandora and Netflix would cause interruptions - which was aggravating. I thought it might be the usb port, but switching accomplished nothing.
Other Thoughts: I replaced this with a pci-e card and have had no issues since. Now, I also have USB ports available that I otherwise would not have. I will keep this little guy around for emergencies.READ FULL REVIEW
