Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: 1. rock steady voltages 2. hybrid mode that lets it run fanless until 30% (computer is truly silent when hibernating) 3. Solid fully modular cabling. I really like the flat, unsheathed cables as they are much easier to route. 4. Its a Seasonic

Cons: none

Overall Review: This is replacing a 660W Seasonic that I've had for 5 or 6 years used in 4 different builds which were all OC'd to the gills. I just out grew the old unit or it'd still be in my case. Seasonic build one of the finest PSUs on the market and unlike some of their competition you actually get something for the extra cash.

GIGABYTE GA-X99-SOC FORCE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Lots of pros: Physically heavy duty, really thick PCB with extra room around the mounting screws. The board is just heavy and substantial. Comes with reinforcement support bracket for PCI cards, only really useful if your using a open bench style case but i am so it was a nice surprise. Comes with full set of Crossfire and SLI connectors (dual and triple). Also a set of 8 sheathed SATA cables, nice touch. Lots of physical buttons to control OC option and a coded display for faults and tracking which stage of boot your in. Also easily accessed point to measure actual voltages with a meter if one is so inclined. Pretty much has an on board connector for anything one might dream up to connect to the MOBO. Full featured UEFI that posted with no issues first try . Runs Cool, I'm run water for GPU/CPU and so far board stays cool completly fanless, though admittedly I have an open case. Love the orange and black

Cons: While the UEFI is feature rich the Windows based utilities are underwhelming and a bit buggy. Someday some OEM will really a really nice working set of utils and I''ll drop dead of shock.

Overall Review: Purchsed this along with G.SKILL Ripjaws 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4 2800 and a 5930K CPU and for my X99 upgrade. 770GTX GPU, all WC'd and OC'd.

Performs Well

MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Quality construction, great features, PCI 3.0, UEFI, Z68, on/off reset and OC physical buttons on the board, plenty of room between expansion slots, just a really nicely engineered MB and looks great in Blue/Black. Benchmarks are top notch across the board.

Cons: The drivers and utilities are a nightmare to get installed in Win 7 64-bit. Win 7 64 didn't recognize any of the built in peripherals, Ethernet, audio, usb 3.0, etc so on. Normally no big thing but the driver disk installation interface was a nightmare, hung up constantly, and just flat crashed too many times to count. Nothing weird here either this in on a clean fresh install, no other software running or even installed. Then basically every driver installed from the DVD needed to be updated, more crashes, dozens of restarts, yada yada 6 hours later I'm finally able to start installing software. Very solid product, absolutely terrible utilty/driver softare. Only reason its not a 5 egg product.

Overall Review: If your not pretty tech savy you may want to consider something else, as noted driver/utilty installation in Win 7 64bit is not for the meek at heart.
