Pros: The Quadro K5000 is one of the best Workstation GPU on the market , "after the K6000 since then ." You can dramatically increase their performance with a Tesla K20 Maximus 2 configuration. In fact, a Maximus 2 ( Quadro + Tesla K20 K5000 ) configuration is more powerful than a single K6000 card. The Quadro 1536 CUDA Cores K5000 has the memories are fast , it is efficient in energy consumption, their drivers are stable , finally a card is tailored for CG artists . It is very stable and quick in handling millions of polygons in 3ds Max as it has 4GB . In VRay 2.4 regenerates quickly and in real time , runs smooth and stable . Models instantly regenerate VRay RT ( I imagine if you do not want to add a Tesla K20 ) .

Cons: Nvidia Quadro K5000 only have 90 in Double Precision. But this is solved by adding a Tesla K20.
Other Thoughts: The Quadro K5000 is fully compatible with dual processors (Xeon X5600 or Xeon E5 generations) at least motherboard having PCI Express 2.0 x16. In fact, the Quadro cards were designed for dual processor configuration. Evidence of this is the configuration of my workstation:
