This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: -- mounting hardware huge improvement over stock push pins
-- awesome design
-- light and inexpensive
-- cpu runs so much cooler
Cons: -- are you kidding me?
-- not really a con but might not fit in all cases so check your dimensions
Other Thoughts: Awful stock cooler was on my i7 950 crooked and cpu was throttling core temps were 100C. It is about 50-60C core temp full load now could probably run it without a fan.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: -works fine with my old win 7/ i7 950/ pci x1 system
-cool and low power draw
-world of tanks runs 50-70 fps maxed with anti aliasing
Cons: For 20$ more could have got a GTX 950 which is 50% faster. Unless you are really taxed for power or on a strict 100$ budget this would have been a better deal.
Other Thoughts: Contrary to what you read in forums you will not saturate a PCI 1x bus with even the fastest cards on the market. Degradation will start to show though with fast dual card setups.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vantec Tornado 80mm Double Ball Bearing High Air Flow Case Fan - Model TD8038H
Pros: If you are making decisions on fans, forget about comparing CFM ratings. A 2,000 RPM 120mm fan will not be anywhere close to this monster. I have both the 93mm and the 80mm and the 80mm actually seems to blow more.
Mounted on the side of the case and pointed at the center of the motherboard you will see 20c drops in cpu and motherboard temps. Cheaper than buying a fancy cpu cooler...
That said these are being used in a garage for a couple of rendering machines. Don't plan on putting this in your bedroom unless you are deaf or planning on becoming deaf.
Cons: I know almost every review has stated this... but people aren't exaggerating about how loud these are. Really!READ FULL REVIEW
