4 out of 5 eggs MISADVERTISED PRODUCT 09/12/2013

This review is from: TP-LINK TG-3269 Gigabit Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45

Pros: W2K drivers were selected and found to work. So far the card has talked over my intranet and internet.

Cons: NO W98 drivers are included on the CDROM!!!!! This card was specifically selected because W98 was listed as a compatible operating system. Readme file specifically lists W98 as deleted for the TG-3269

1 out of 5 eggs Compatability Problem 10/05/2010

This review is from: SYBA PCI USB 2.0 & FireWire/1394a combo card Model SD-COMBO-02

Pros: Internal 1394 port came alive when installed in the wife's IBM Netvista. I was able to capture video from the camcorder.

Cons: Bought it to add 1394 to my Soyo SY-7VBA133U MOBO. This is an very "old" mobo with two ISA slots and four PCI with AGP. It is running XP just fine (had W2K and W98 on it before that). NONE of the ports were functional, even though the Device Manager showed host controllers were operational. I even tried turning off the on board USB controller in the BIOS. Best I could get was an error on the external USB ports there was a recognition problem. The internal USB appeared dead--probably disconnected as posted elsewhere here.

SABRENT TV-LCDHR High Resolution 1680 x 1050 TV Tuner Box with PiP

1 out of 5 eggs Nice Idea-Poor Implementation 06/07/2010

This review is from: SABRENT TV-LCDHR High Resolution 1680 x 1050 TV Tuner Box with PiP

Pros: The PIP feature was nice. The video dynamic range was better than the Geniatech. Best of all was cables NOT coming out the front!!

Cons: Died after a year. Would not pass tuner video to the display, only PC video. And the video quality was horrible. Smearing and ghosting the worst I've seen since I began display design 35 yrs ago. If you need to power this device down, do NOT pull the DC plug from the back. Remove the adapter from the outlet instead. This design has very poor overvoltage/transient suppression on the low voltage power feeding the tuner.

Other Thoughts: I am so frustrated with the lack of quality in stand alone tuners I've decided to go back to LCD TVs with external I/O connectors. Even the external tuners cost upwards of $150 are junk.
