This review is from: Diamond BVU195 USB Display Adapter (DVI and VGA with included DVI to VGA adapter)
Pros: i have the BVU165, works great! nice to be able to add a monitor to basically any newer type computer.. XP and higher.
Cons: Was not plug and play as box said, still had to install CD drivers BEFORE you plug it in.!
Other Thoughts: comes in handy, i use it to add a 3rd monitor.
using laptop display + VGA output as extended + USB BVU165 as extended..
This review is from: KINGWIN MDP-1 Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter/Active
Pros: It does work on my XPS L502x , but only after DELL support updated several drivers on several devices.
After the tech spent around 3 hours with my laptop, he was finally able to get to work. So it does work
Cons: Seems cheaply made, Mini Display Port (DP) end cover slides back and forth, sometimes preventing full connection into Display Port , seems flimsy. Make sure when you plug it in, you push it in with the cable and not the plastic cover,
- It was not plug and play out of the package.
Other Thoughts: Don't expect to just plug it in and work, as i found out, it may require several driver updates to various devices.
- it is nice to finally have the ability to have a second monitor hooked up the laptop
This review is from: ASUS A8V-XE 939 VIA K8T890 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Works as advertised.. don't know why people are claiming bad things about it.. I upgraded from AGP to PCI-E using this board. WORKS GREAT!!!
Cons: Audio is listed as HDA in bios. A little confusing.
Other Thoughts: Audio is in the bios but its listed as HDA (HI DEF AUDIO)
I used a AUDIGY 2 SE for audio disabled the HDA and installed the Audigy. Audigy is the only thing that shows up.// 3800+ x2 / 1gig XMS / 7900 GS KO 256 / 2 HDD / 2 OPTICALS /
