Pros: It works with Debian Jesse/testing, GNU/Linux OS xfce, switched from Ubuntu, given Ubuntu Unity breaks the OS even when you uninstall Unity (lots of pain). I had to make a special boot USB stick with the proprietary firmware for the Ethernet hardware (.dep file) in a separate dos partition on the USB boot stick.
Pros: It works fine. I use it to switch a keyboard and mouse between two computers. It does not seem to need power input. It runs off the usb connections from the computers. I see nothing wrong with it yet.
Cons: It takes about a second to switch, but that's pretty much what I expected.
It's not good for usb 3 devices. They state this to be so.
