This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
Pros: Unfortunately at this point none,... really.
Cons: Fan rattling and rumbling, really a light weight unit. My old 430 watt Thermaltake Power Supply it twice the piece of equipment this is.
Lasted long enough to put me out of Neweggs return policy
Pust me in mind of one of those 6000 Watt Car audio amps the size of a matchbox you'd mount under your dash.
Other Thoughts: What would make me ok with Thermaltake would be for Thermaltake to pay the ship to and from for the warranty.
It's unfortunate. I hate to see anybody lose money given my distaste for it. I just don't see a good reason for me to lose money for having purchased a defective item.
I understand from time to time there are hiccups. Given the arrival of the upgraded model I'd say Thermaltake is fully aware this happens to be a bad unit.
So ... How 'bout it Thermaltake? Pick up my return ship and get a unit to me as described?
Pros: Wow, been fighting ATI from my HD4850 to the onboard HD4200 to this and I cannot believe the difference. Ubuntu 11.10 post release driver.
Cons: Absolutely None
Other Thoughts: No more inverted video playback. No more inverted thumbnails. No more fighting brightness/contrast color clipping in video. No more sharpness issues with text. No more gamma works with one player and not the other. Color balance is incredibly better out of the box. Web page text and file manager text sharp and clear. Always stuck with ATI and I am gone like the wind ain't even looking back. This is the best 9.99 I have spent on hardware ever. Crisp, Clear, Defined.
If you've sound issues after install check your settings and select (Output) hdmi output. Under Hardware, Choose device to configure, Choose hdmi (on mine I had to choose HDMI Digital Stereo Output nr 2 Output) devices one at a time and test speakers.
I can't believe the time I have spent trying to get my ATI stuff to run any where near this well.
